Stephen Foster is an experienced court accredited expert in identifying dogs suspected of being prohibited under Section 1 of the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991. He also examines dogs for behaviour assessments that are subject to Section 3 (dangerously out of control) and assesses animals seized for offences under the 2006 Animal Welfare Act. He assesses dogs involved in cruelty cases both for defence and prosecuting authorities.
Mr Foster also takes instructions from private dog owners who have had their dogs seized and prepares reports for the court. Legal aid and private work is equally welcomed.
He is an expert in the identification of prohibited breeds and in canine behaviour and is highly experienced in giving expert accounts in court.
Mr Foster has appeared at the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and the Appeal Court as an expert witness and has been recognised by the MPS and CPS as an expert in all matters relating to dangerous dogs.
