Qualifications:
The expert holds the qualifications BDS (University of Birmingham), DPDS, Dip D Sedn, Dip Implant Dent RCSEd, CUEW, and is an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry (CGDent). His specialist field is General Dental Practice, encompassing a broad range of disciplines including Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Dental Sedation, Implant Dentistry, and Cosmetic Dentistry.
He has undertaken extensive expert witness training and is fully conversant with the requirements of Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules, Practice Direction 35, the Protocol for the Instruction of Experts to Give Evidence in Civil Claims, and the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Conduct. He received training through Bond Solon in the responsibilities of a single joint expert, Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions, and Certificate in Medical Reporting Part 1. In 2021, he was awarded the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Civil Expert Witness Certificate. Additional Bond Solon training includes Civil, Family and Criminal Law and Procedure (2021), Excellence in Report Writing (2019), Courtroom Skills (2020), and Cross-Examination Day (2020).

Since 2004, he has combined private clinical dental practice with the provision of medico-legal services. He prepares approximately 40 expert witness reports each year and has extensive experience acting for both claimants and defendants. Approximately 85% of his instructions are received from claimants, 10% from defendants, and 5% involve appointments as a single joint expert or jointly instructed expert.
His long-standing experience in general dental practice, together with more than two decades of medico-legal work, provides him with substantial expertise in the preparation of independent expert reports and the provision of evidence in legal proceedings.
