Qualifications:

I completed my Bachelor of Medical Sciences in 2006, followed by my Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008, both at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. In 2019, I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists in Clinical Oncology in the UK.

To deepen my knowledge in cancer care, I am currently undertaking a Postgraduate Certification in Precision Oncology and Cancer Genetics. To support my expert witness work, I have completed formal medico-legal training with Bond Solon, including Excellence in Report Writing (2023) and Introduction to Civil Procedures Training (2024). Experience:

I am currently the Oncology Lead Researcher at Carigenetics, where my work focuses on identifying novel genetic markers for prostate cancer in Afro-Caribbean men (May 2024 – present).
Previously, I held several consultant posts across the UK and internationally. I served as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at King Edward Memorial Hospital in Bermuda (June 2023 – February 2024), Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust Churchill Cancer Centre (July 2022 – May 2023), and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre (July 2020 – June 2022).

Prior to this, I worked as a Clinical Oncology Honorary Specialist Registrar at the Christie Hospital in Manchester (2018–2020) and as a Clinical Oncology Resident at Kingston Public Hospital, St Joseph’s Cancer Treatment Centre, and the Hope Institute in Jamaica (2015–2018). My earlier experience includes surgical and medical training across various roles in Jamaica, including as a Simulation and Treatment Planning Assistant at the Radiation Oncology Centre of Jamaica and as a General Surgery Resident at the University of the West Indies.

I am a member of several professional bodies, including the Royal College of Radiologists (UK), the European Society for Medical Oncology, and the UK Breast Cancer Group. My experience is complemented by involvement in teaching, mentoring, and public health advocacy, including tutoring in palliative radiotherapy at the Christie Hospital and serving as a mentor for Locally Employed Doctors at Mount Vernon.
