Experience:
Nima Saeidi, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. He has over 20 years of expertise as a Scientist, Innovator, and Entrepreneur in the development of novel therapeutics for Obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and Colorectal Cancer. He has been involved in spinning out some of the discoveries in his laboratory into start ups, which involve considering the complex regulatory, trade secret, patent claims.
Dr. Saeidi specializes in the developing novel pre-clinical models, both cell-based and animal models, to facilitate the translation of the fundamental discoveries into clinical applications. Those include the development of novel technologies for the culture and expansion of intestinal stem cells (for applications in type 2 diabetes and inflammatory bowel disease).
