I am a Consultant Psychiatrist & Neuropsychiatrist in independent practice.

I specialize in liaison (General Hospital Consultation) Psychiatry in addition to Adult General Psychiatry. I have special interests in chronic pain, psychosomatic disorders, mood disorders (especially depression), forensic psychiatry and neuropsychiatry, including the neuropsychiatric of brain and spinal cord injury.

Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, MBBS, (1982)
Master of Arts, MA, (1982) Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, FRCPsych Gaskell Gold Medal, (1991)

Experience:

Mediator: Trained in Cambridge, London and Glasgow. Extensive experience as Expert Witness. Media experience. Member of the General Medical Council Fitness to Practise Committees. Consultant Psychiatrist since 1991.

Consultant Psychiatrist & Neuropsychiatrist: I trained in neuropathology at the University of Glasgow, where I gained special experience in the pathology of head injury. I trained in Psychiatry in London. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and was awarded the Gaskell Gold Medal and Prize of that College in 1991.
