I am experienced in completing desktop expert witness reports, with analysis of breach of care and causation. I can see patients in the Lindo wing at St Mary’s where we have access to a wide range of investigations.
As above I am available to appear in The High Court, Family Division, Court of Protection and Coroner’s court.
I can offer second opinions in complex cases in situ.

Experience:
I am the Clinical Director of Critical Care at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, one of the largest Critical Care Directorates in the UK. We have around 90 ICU beds, and serve Cardiothoracics, Neurosurgery, Major Trauma, Transplant, and a wide rand of surgical and medical subspecialities.
I was previously the Lead Clinician at St Mary’s Hospital ICU which is a 32 bed ICU with a particular focus on Major Trauma, Vascular surgery, and Medicine. In 2018 I led the reconfiguration of critical care at St Mary’s and in 2019 led the department through inspection by the CQC achieving a good rating, and a subsequent and very positive Peer Review. I appeared in the BBC TV programme Hospital. I have been a consultant in Intensive Care since 2003. I have completed around 2000 medical reports and a smaller number of expert witness reports. I have been a witness in the Family Division at the High Court in a complex end of life case, and in the Coroner’s court both as a witness to fact and as an expert.
