Services include case analysis, safety and horsemanship evaluation, rule and regulatory compliance, competition standards, and horse industry best practices. Hipsley has extensive expertise in horse show judging, conformation and movement assessment, mounted police training, farm safety, emergency planning, and equine identification.

Additional services include development of educational materials and manuals on topics ranging from safety and horse judging to farm emergency preparedness and show preparation. Hipsley also provides international marketing and promotional coordination for U.S.-based horse breed associations, conducts assessments of international livestock marketing effectiveness, and serves as a buyers’ and sellers’ agent in domestic and international equine acquisition and export.

Qualifications:

Hipsley was raised on a horse farm and continues to live and care for horses, providing lifelong hands-on equestrian experience. Academic credentials include service as a University Instructor and Professor of Equine Studies, bringing balance between practical horsemanship and academic expertise. Hipsley served as an adjunct instructor at the Kentucky Horseshoeing School for over six years, where curriculum was developed and taught in horsemanship and safety.

Professional certifications include participation in the Kentucky Livestock Welfare Investigation Program and certification in Equine Identification through Washington State University. Hipsley is also a licensed professional horse show judge with assignments in 17 countries and experience officiating at national and international competitions.

Experience:

Hipsley’s real-world experience spans breed association activities, competitions and shows, and enforcement of rules and regulations within the equine industry. Leadership experience includes serving on numerous Boards of Directors, Executive Committees, and rules and licensing committees for horse associations and organizations.

Instructional experience includes teaching horseback riding in academic and camp programs, mounted police training for the City of Providence (RI), Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, and the University of Massachusetts, as well as courses in conformation and movement evaluation. Hipsley has also instructed horse show judges and managers on a wide range of topics, with particular emphasis on safety.

Internationally, Hipsley served as a featured presenter and instructor at Equitana Australia for five years and coordinated Breed Village activities. Additional professional roles include horse magazine editor for two breed journals and committee service for the American Horse Council, United States Equestrian Federation, Kentucky Horse Council, and other national organizations.
