Mr. Sagalow is a 40 year senior insurance executive veteran, 25 of which at AIG where he held various positions including Chief Underwriting Officer and General Counsel of AIG Executive Liability (D&O, E&O), Chief Operating Officer of AIG eBusiness Risk Solutions (Cyber insurance) and President of AIG Product Development. Following AIG, Mr. Sagalow was Chief Innovation Officer of Zurich North American and Chief Innovation Officer of Tower Group. Mr. Sagalow is a Founding Member of Lemonade Inc. (a InsurTech “unicorn”) and its founding Chief Insurance Officer. From 2015 – 2017, he was the CEO of Lemonade Insurance Company.
Since 2012, Mr. Sagalow has been the Founder & CEO of Innovation Insurance Group, LLC. (www.innovationinsurancegroup.com). IIG is a premier consulting firm to the insurance industry. In addition to his Insurtech work, a major part of Mr. Sagalow’s practice is providing expert witness testimony in insurance cases, especially in the management and professional liability arena. In this role, Mr. Sagalow has been retained in over 89 cases in the last 84 months representing (almost equally) policyholders and insurance carriers in coverage disputes and insurance litigation.
