Experience:

Mark Duxbury received his medical degree from Oxford Medical School. He undertook a full-time research fellowship at Harvard Medical School, investigating novel therapies for pancreatic cancer.

Following Higher Surgical Training on the Eastern Deanery (Cambridge) rotation he completed further subspeciality training in hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) and transplantation surgery in Edinburgh.

Mark Duxbury is an NHS Consultant Surgeon based at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He has full UK General Medical Council registration and UK Specialist Register accreditation.

His research include pancreatic cancer, liver metastasis and laser-based material processing techniques for medical and surgical applciations. He is actively involved in translational research and has active scientific collaborations with the Univeristy of Strathclyde. He has published widely in peer reviewed journals and has authored a number of book chapters relating to General Surgery, cancer biology and diseases of the pancreas, liver and biliary tree. He serves on the Editorial Boards of multiple scientific journals.

Formal medicolegal training has been undertaken.
