Dr. Radhakrishnaiah Parachuru is a multidisciplinary scientist with BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Textile Engineering, together with an MS degree in Applied Statistics. He possesses more than 35 years of combined teaching, research, consulting, and industrial experience involving polymers, fibers, textiles, apparel, carpets, and related material technologies. Dr. Parachuru previously served as the Coordinator of Industry and Public Support Activities at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he completed more than 220 applied research projects for the benefit of U.S. manufacturers and industrial clients.
He has authored 65 refereed scientific research papers in addition to multiple e-books and book chapters addressing textile engineering, polymer science, materials performance, and product technologies. Dr. Parachuru maintains active membership in several leading professional organizations, including the The Fiber Society, AATCC, ASTM International, and Textile Quality Control Association. Since 2005, he has served as Chairman of the AATCC Committee on Statistics and continues to play a leadership role in multiple technical committees relating to testing methodology, statistical analysis, and standards development.
