Qualifications:
I completed my MBBS and MD in Paediatrics from Delhi University, qualifying in 2004 and 2007 respectively. In 2020, I undertook a Fellowship in Paediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Toronto and completed the Teaching Scholars Program during the same period.
In 2021, I was awarded CESR (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) in Paediatric Gastroenterology by the GMC. I have also completed ILM Level 5 leadership training with Sheffield Children’s NHS Trust.
To support my expert witness work, I have undertaken formal training with Bond Solon in 2024, including Statement and Report Writing for Health Professionals and Witness Skills for Courts, Inquiries & Tribunals (Witness Familiarisation).

Experience:
I am a Consultant in Paediatric Gastroenterology at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where I currently serve as the Clinical Lead for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Since August 2021, I’ve led a multidisciplinary service managing complex GI conditions in children and young people across the region.
My international experience includes a clinical and research fellowship in IBD at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), Toronto, and a locum consultant role at the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre in Ontario, Canada. Prior to this, I worked for over a decade at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India, progressing from junior consultant and research fellow to full-time consultant.
My practice has encompassed a wide range of paediatric gastroenterological disorders including IBD, coeliac disease, intestinal failure, nutritional disorders, and paediatric liver transplantation. I hold active registrations with the General Medical Council (UK), College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, and the Delhi Medical Council.
