Over 40 years of experience handling insurance claims litigation; 25 years of consulting with insurance companies on claims handling and meeting the good faith, statutory and regulatory requirements for handling all types of insurance claims, property and casualty and special risks, and a wide variety of commercial and personal lines; also consulted life, health and disability carriers, including individual and group coverages. Co-author of two books on insurance claims handling and "bad faith": California Practice Guide: Bad Faith (The Rutter Group 1986), now part of California Practice Guide: Insurance Litigation; and Litigating Insurance Claims: Coverage, Bad Faith and Business Disputes (Wiley & Son, 1993).
Testified in over 20 cases and qualified as an expert in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, and several counties in the State of California.
