Mr. Mahr has provided engineering and technical consulting services in support of litigation, including accidents, equipment failures, arbitration, etc. He has managed large or technically demanding projects handling bauxite, coal, biomass, minerals, and other bulk commodities. As president, Mr. Mahr is responsible for all corporate activities of Energy Associates. As a project manager, he is responsible for the schedule, budget, and technical aspects of his assigned projects.
Mr. Mahr’s project assignments are located throughout the United States and have taken him to Argentina, Bahamas, Canada, Colombia, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Philippines, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, and Venezuela.
Mr. Mahr is a specialist in the engineering, design, and operation of dry bulk material handling systems. He is an expert in the supply, unloading/loading, stacking, reclaiming, handling, blending, and processing of a wide range of bulk materials ranging from alumina to wood chips. Mr. Mahr is experienced in ports and terminals, the power, transportation, mining, steel, and process industries. He has managed large or technically demanding projects and developments that handle multiple bulk commodities. On construction assignments, he has served as a technical representative and monitored technical/contract compliance. Mr. Mahr has provided technical services in instances for breach of contract dispute resolution, equipment failure, and litigation investigation.

Mr. Mahr is an author or editor of over fifty (50) technical articles, papers, and publications for major industry magazines and conferences. He contributed the “Above-Ground Handling and Storage” chapter for ASME's Materials Handling Handbook and is the editor of seven (7) ASME publications on solid fuel issues including: sampling, quality control, handling, supply, dust control, byproduct utilization, and FBC/AFBC projects and technology. Mr. Mahr authored the “Fuel, Sorbent, and Inert Bed Material Handling” chapter in the Electric Power Research Institute’s AFBC Balance-of-Plant Reference Manual.
