When a lawyer asks you a question he or she may have this question prepared from a text book or provided to him in a way that he does not understand how to adjust it or be flexable with it's construction or factual content. However it is his or her job to make it clear. If you are asked, ' What part of it don't you understand do not fall into the trap of parsing the question.

Before you go down this route make sure that the question is confusing enough for the jury to beleive your request for the lawyer to rephrase the question
