Work Experience:

1982-2003        Detective for the New Jersey State Police assigned to the Alcoholic                 Beverage  Control Enforcement Bureau.  Conducted undercover, financial,                  criminal, and regulatory investigations pertaining to the alcoholic beverage                 laws, and regulations.  Conducted approximately 500 investigations                 pertaining to the sale of alcohol to intoxicated persons, and approximately                 2500 investigations pertaining to the sale of alcohol to underage persons.                  During this period, I was required to testify in court approximately 500                 times for cases involving violations of the alcoholic beverage laws, and                 regulations.

2006-2008        Currently President, and Chief Consultant for John Schmidt Consulting                 Group Inc.  Assist Clients in establishing, evaluating, and enforcing                 responsible alcohol sales, and compliance programs for various types of                 liquor licensed venues.

2005-2006        Alcohol Compliance Supervisor for Levy Restaurants at Time Warner                 Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Responsibilities included                 establishing, and enforcing responsible alcohol sales, and compliance                 programs for the concession operation at the NBA facility.


Education:


2001                Graduated from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey with a                 Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Justice.


Training:

2006                Certified as a Trainer for the T.I.P.S. program for the responsible sale,                 service, and consumption of alcohol.  Continued certification in this                 program by Health Communications Inc., (www.gettips.com).

1982                Graduated from the New Jersey State Police Academy in Sea Girt, New                 Jersey.

1982-2003        Participated in numerous training courses conducted by the New Jersey                 State Police, FBI, and New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control.
