I am a Certified Director of Safety, a Certified Driver Trainer and a Certified Accident Investigator by American Trucking Association. I have been recognzied as Safety Director of the Year and Trucking Executive of the Year, both in the State of Alabama.
Thirty-five years work experience in the trucking industry at all levels of management, including Vice President/General Manager and Chief Operating Officer, as well part-owner of 2 trucking companies.
Have worked for fleet operators that include dry van, refrigerated van, flatbed, tank carrier, less-than-truckload (LTL) and truckload carriers. Experienced in training drivers, dock personnel, loading/unloading techniques. I have developed and implemented fleet safety programs for various sizes of carriers, ranging from fleets of 20 trucks up to 600 trucks.
I have served as expert witness for plaintiff and defendant attorneys, that include testimony in approximately 150 cases in states from Maine to Florida, from Georgia to Montana. I have experience in state and federal court cases.
I also serve as transportation consultant to 10-12 individual companies in developing and implementing safety and accident prevention programs.
