Mr. Hampton is a partner of Campos & Stratis, an accounting and economic consulting firm. He is an expert in intellectual property valuation and economic damages. Prior to joining Campos & Stratis in 1997, he was a consultant with Arthur Andersen & Company. Mr. Hampton has 23 years of consulting experience and has testified in State and Federal courts, and other dispute resolution forums related to infringement of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He is a licensed certified public accountant in California , Washington , and Utah . Mr. Hampton also has an accreditation in business valuation (ABV) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has lectured on IP and economic damages to the Washington State Bar Association, Utah State Bar Association, Law & Economics Society, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA), and the Licensing Executive Society. He is past chair of the Utah Association of Certified Public Accountants Litigation Services Committee and past chair of the Salt Lake City Chapter of the Licensing Executive Society.
Mr. Hampton has performed numerous Rule 26 patent, copyright and trademark lost profit and reasonable royalty calculations, IP valuations for commercial purposes, and has assisted clients in license negotiations. Mr. Hampton also has broad experience quantifying economic damages associated with commercial litigation, including royalty disputes, breach of contract, construction, and business interruption claims. While with Arthur Andersen & Company, Mr. Hampton worked extensively on the Exxon Valdez oil spill litigation. Mr. Hampton graduated from the University of Utah , David Eccles School of Business, in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.

He has provided rebuttal testimony for damage calculations prepared for GlaxoSmithCline, ChemDry, Blue Rhino and Alcoa.

Business income loss claims are a substantial portion of Mr. Hampton's professional practice. He has participated in covered losses caused by: fire damage, theft, civil closure, construction defect, business computer and data losses, windstorms, power outages, flooding and many others causes. Mr. Hampton has extensive experience computing lost gross earnings, non-continuing and continuing expenses. He has broad knowledge of insurance companies' claim procedures and business income loss report formats. He provides claims accounting services to insurance companies, attorneys and independent adjustors.
